Code Enforcement

Responsibilities

The main concern of Code Enforcement is to ensure buildings and rental units are safe for occupation. This is done through the:

  • Issuance of building permits for new construction or demolition of existing structures
  • Property maintenance inspections
  • Routine rental housing inspections

Staff

The Town of Westernport employs 1 part-time Code Enforcement Officer, Mike Simpson.

Filter Plant

Responsibilities

  • Treating and supplying clean, safe drinking water
  • Monitoring water quality to meet state and federal requirements
  • Maintaining water treatment systems and infrastructure
